Wisdom of weekend: World Health Day (Unique Beauty Promises)


Hello beauties, World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7th of April. I would like to share my quick 10 Beauty promises to myself. Lets take advantage of this opportunity and share with each other our beauty promises and see ourselves more beautiful and healthy for coming days. Have fun ! :)


1. Dark chocolate A Day (1 Piece= 7 gm):

The cocoa in the dark chocolate contains plant nutrients known as Flavonoids which are rich in antioxidants and detox the body repairing the damages pollution and bad food has caused. Dark chocolate is good for heart and is low in dairy and sugars.

2. Green tea A day (2 cups):
Green Tea/Matcha is full of powerful antioxidants like Flavonoids and Catechins which retard the ageing process. It also helps to keep up the metabolism to help accumulation of fats in body.
Green tea comes in many flavors too like orange,pomegranate, honey, blueberry,peach,ginger. I will try and alternate them to enjoy wholesome goodness.

3. Brain exercise and Neurobics for mind:
I believe in hard work and smart work both. For smart work we need to keep our neurons fit and active.
Neurobics are a kind of mental exercises which improve brain's thinking potential and enhance neuron activity. I will soon do a blog post as its an interesting topic to discuss with you all.

4. Nuts and sprouts A day (Odd time hunger pangs):
I have a very slim and fir body and the main secret for this is I binge on nuts ans sprouts when I feel hungry after lunch or after dinner and sometimes after late night parties too. I do not diet and have a sweet tooth. However when I feel hungry instead to eating some cookies/chips I eat some nuts which satisfy my sweet craving and then have a glass of water which totally controls it. Cherry on the cake is they are full of vitamins and minerals.

5. Self Care days (Face Mask + Spa Bath + Hair conditioning+ Massage):

Twice a week I plan to have self pampering and rejuvenate myself for that all time glow. Spa bath and Hair conditioning will be done first. Followed by relaxing massage by my lover :-p
And not to forget Scrubbing and face masks will be last steps.

6. No makeup/skin product day:

Let the skin take a day off and let it breath. I love my skin the way it is and will always think positive about it. I will not aim for perfection but dedication to keep my skin happy and healthy. After all who has a perfect skin? :-p

7. Exercise 20 mins A day:

Thrice a week I promise to do rigorous cardio exercise/jogging and remaining days I will do yoga, Pilates and deep breathing to keep my mind and body young and fit always.

8. Healthy diet and balanced life:
I will indulge more into a good nutritious diet and have more fruits and veggies. I also endeavour to give more time to family and friends and to my health. A complete balance between work + family + oneself is very vital.

9. Polish your soul:
Help all and donate every few days. Spread love. Be kind to all and Smile. Also stay strong and don't depend on others for your happiness.


10. Laughter time with family:
Laughter is the best medicine and the best place to enjoy it is at "Home sweet home". It strengthens the family bonds more and relaxes our minds. Healthy mind leads to a beautiful fit body. Live and Laugh :-)

  10. The only thing that is included here in my routine is that i drink tea two times a day, and beauty once a week and my healthy diet is seruisly ruin but i plan of getting back on track. Thankx for reminding me :)

  14. Brilliant post sweetie, i suppose i only have a few things to be more healthier and do more for my skin and body.

    1) Drink the correct amount of water and possibly more.
    2) Eat more fruit and veg
    3) Clean my brushes once a week to help my poor skin
    4) Make my own face masks rather than shop brought [less chemicals on my face]
    5) Use a non perfumed cream at night and under my makeup
    6) Do more exercise during the day, normal routine then a good cycle or walk with the dog
    7) Try to be more comfortable in my skin, find one thing i like about myself on a daily basis

    yeah cannot think of anymore hehe.

  17. These are really great tips Belle. I agree with the all. I try to drink a lot of green tea (substituting it for my coffee) and I noticed huge improvements in my skin and well-being.
